Norwegian Translation Services

Like many Norwegian-Americans, I didn't grow up speaking Norwegian at home.  While at the University of Washington in Seattle, I decided to study Norwegian, so that I would be able to speak with my mormor (mom's mom) and morfar (mom's dad) while I still had them around.  I am so thankful that I had that opportunity, and can now communicate with my Norwegian family.

Over the years I have translated a variety of documents including family letters, bygdebok entries, and articles related to families for people I have met.  In my spare time I am happy to offer affordable translation services for those who would like to learn more about their Norwegian roots, or who have other informal documents that they would like to have translated.

"I highly recommend Norsk Seattle for their translating services.  They recently translated a bygdebok for my family.  They were vey responsive to my emails and provided the final document in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price.  My family is thrilled to have access to this aspect of our family heritage."   G. "Thanks so much for doing this!  My dad will be so happy to get this. He has been wondering what the letter said for many years. I am glad I found your name on the internet as you did exactly what I was hoping for, and you were really interested in doing this type of translation." -D.B.
