What's not to love about cod soaked in lye? For those who have never tried it, lutefisk is the consistency of fish jello, and doesn't have very much taste...but melted butter or white sauce makes it tasty! Lutefisk dinners abound in Western Washington in season (mid-fall to mid-winter) most years, but are limited in 2020-2021 due to Covid restrictions. October 17th, 2020 from noon-8 pm Poulsbo's Slippery Pig Brewery Lutefisk Dinner Dine-in will be available on on first-come, first-served basis for groups no larger than five. Family lutefisk meals for take out will also be available. Call 360-394-1686 to pre-order meals to go. Reservations for dine-in will not be accepted. If you're not eager to pay to eat fish jello, it might be worth the ticket price for the meatballs or lefse that are served with the lutefisk. |
