Norwegian Crafts

Norwegian rosemaling painting, woodcarving, and Hardanger embroidery craftspeople abound in western Washington.  Several of the Norwegian heritage organizations offer courses in these crafts, as does the Nordic Heritage Museum in Ballard.

Rosemaling classes are sometimes offered at the Bothell Sons of Norway lodge, the Poulsbo Sons of Norway Lodge, and the Ballard Nordic Heritage Museum.  See our event calendar for more details.

Nordic Woodcarving is currently being taught at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Ballard on Saturdays.
