Ballard's Leif Erikson Lodge will soon be celebrating Heritage Day at the lodge. This annual event features traditional Norwegian food including open face sandwiches (Smørbrød)
Lefse, Krumkaker, Waffles (Vafler)
Rømmegrøt and Pea Soup (Erte Suppe). There will also be
Norwegian music and folk songs as well as
a Norwegian folk costume (bunad) parade at 1 p.m.
Vendors will be selling traditional Norwegian crafts and
Scandinavian gifts, and there will be children’s activities as well. Admission is free and open to the public.
