The weather is taking another turn for the better on Tuesday, and it should be a lovely day for celebrating the anniversary of Norway's constitution! Be sure to put on your best and head down to Ballard to enjoy food and entertainment during the day, then set up your camp chair and enjoy the parade starting at 6 p.m.! Once you've recovered from your revelry in Ballard, make plans to head to Poulsbo this weekend. The little town on Liberty will be celebrating all things Norwegian this weekend at their annual Viking Fest celebration. Ballard may sport several folks wearing traditional Norwegian bunads even on the sides of the parade route, but Poulsbo spends a full weekend celebrating the land of the fjords with events including folk dancing demonstrations, a Scandinavian luncheon, a parade, and yes, unfortunately, a lutefisk eating contest. |
